Easiest ways to get to Halmstad from abroad

1) Flights to Copenhagen Airport (CPH) → train direct to Halmstad

Take the Öresund train from the airport station, station is located in the same building (Kastrup) to Halmstad C. Tickets can be purchased at the airport in designated vending machines marked "Öresundståg". The journey takes about 2-2.5 hours, is usually hourly and is the most convenient standard option. 2) Flights to Göteborg Landvetter (GOT) → train

Transfer to Gothenburg Central Station and onward train to Halmstad; total journey time around 1 h 50 min-2 h. This option is a bit more time consuming. Search/book on SJ.se. (SJ)

3) bus from CPH (budget-friendly)

Direct FlixBus-departures between Copenhagen Airport and Halmstad. Travelling time about 2-3 hours depending on departure.FlixBus, FlixBus)

4) Ferry from Denmark (by car or on foot)

Stena Line operates Grenå-Halmstad with approximately 4-4.5 hours crossing time. Good if you drive via Jutland (Stena Line, stenalinefreight.com)

5) Via Stockholm, Sweden

Fly into Stockholm and travel onwards:

• Domestic flights to Halmstad (check the current timetable at Halmstad City Airport) (halmstadcityairport.se)
