We have participated in the Niels Larsen Trophy for the past 10 years and we consider it the highlight of the year! Always well organised with a very friendly atmosphere and a Players' Party where everyone feels included. We also like the added benefits such as photography and give-aways in the changing rooms. The food is usually superb!

What is the Niels Larsen Trophy?

The Niels Larsen Trophy is an ice hockey tournament for amateurs, not former elite players.

You have a genuine passion for ice hockey but also for socialising and you like to get to know new people who also play Beer League Hockey .

In the Niels Larsen Trophy we focus on having a good time, laughing with each other and sometimes we also play ice hockey.

We organise the Niels Larsen Trophy primarily to raise money for the Children's Ward at Halmstad Hospital Read more about it here

Who can participate in the Niels Larsen Trophy?

The Niels Larsen Trophy is an ice hockey tournament for Beer Leaguers.

The tournament is for all types of ice hockey teams except teams playing league play. So if you are a team playing recreational hockey, a group of friends or a company team, you are welcome to participate in the Niels Larsen Trophy.

The Niels Larsen Trophy is a tournament for those who have NOT played ice hockey at Elite level.

If you have played ice hockey in a club that is subject to Elite Licence requirements you must not have been active for at least 5 years.

For other players, the requirement is that no player may have played in any Series or been active in a Series-playing team for 24 months or more.

We make absolutely NO exceptions to this rule.
